Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager and under general supervision of the Dietary Lead Hand, the Cook is responsible for meal preparation and delivery in a manner consistent with all regulations as specified by the Long-Term Care Homes Act and related acts.

Under the general direction of the Lead Hand and responsible to the Environmental Services Manager the Dietary Aide is responsible for providing meal preparation and delivery in a manner consistent with all regulations as specified by the Long-Term Care Homes Act and related acts. 

Under the general supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, the Lead Hand contributes to the supervision and operations of the Dietary Department. This is a working lead hand position, and is responsible for filling in Cook/DA shifts when needed. This individual is responsible for the planning of menus and the supervision of food service operations in the hospital and Extended Care Wing; they are accountable for the provision and maintenance of high standards in food purchasing, production, quality of food preparation and service. The Lead Hand must have knowledge of nutrition and experience in the quantity preparation of food.  The Lead Hand ensures that all employees work within established regulations, policies and procedures with regards to health and safety, the environment and quality.

Under the direction of the Long-Term Care Manager, the Dietitian is responsible for carrying out the clinical and nutritional care duties pertaining to residents of Long-Term Care as outlined in the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021. The Dietitian will complete nutritional assessments for all residents on admission and whenever there is a significant change in a resident’s health condition, determine nutritional risk levels of all residents, conduct quarterly nutrition assessments and monitor resident weight measurements on admission, monthly and annually. The Dietitian will also assess any referred residents with skin conditions that are likely to require or respond to nutrition intervention and making recommendations as required. The Dietitian is also responsible for providing assessment, intervention, support, and education related to medical nutrition therapy for inpatients of AHCS as well as providing nutritional education as part of the Diabetes Program in association with the Atikokan Family Health Team.

Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer and direction of the contracted pharmacist, the Pharmacy Assistant manages and maintains medication stock in the pharmacy department, prepares medications for dispensing to the automated dispensing cabinets, fills medication orders, updates inpatient medication profiles, maintains vaccine stock and monitors narcotic and controlled substances in the pharmacy and throughout the hospital.

The Health Information Clerk provides essential clerical and administrative support within the Health Records Department. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accessibility and privacy of patient health records in compliance with hospital policies and Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).

The Health Information Clerk contributes to patient safety and effective health service delivery by ensuring health information is complete, accurate, confidential, and secure.

Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Long-Term Care Nurse Manager is accountable for the supervision and direction of all nursing and personal care staff, and for the overall quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of resident care on the Long-term Care Unit (Extended Care Wing) at Atikokan Health and Community Services (AHCS). The Nurse Manager provides clinical leadership and operational oversight for daily nursing care delivery and ensures compliance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 (FLTCA), Ontario Regulation 246/22, and Ministry of Long-Term Care standards while promoting resident-centered care, staff development, and quality improvement.

Reporting to the President and CEO, and a member of the Executive Team, the Chief Financial and Corporate Services Officer (CFCSO) is responsible for the Financial and Corporate Services at Atikokan Health and Community Services (AHCS) which includes Family Health Team funding, RAAM clinic funding and Mental Health funding.  The CFCSO participates in regular Board meetings and is also the AHCS executive representative to the Hospital Foundation Board.

Reporting to the Outpatient Services Manager, the role of the Kinesiologist is to provide outpatient services within the scope of a Kinesiologist. This includes offering assessment of human movement and performance while offering rehabilitation and management to maintain, rehabilitate or enhance movement and performance. The Kinesiologist also provides logistical and clerical support as required by the Rehabilitation Department Lead Hand.

The Medical Radiation Technologist performs all related tasks and operates all relevant equipment to produce quality diagnostic images for interpretation by the referring Physician and Radiologist in a timely and professional manner.
